KCWI had the opportunity on the 25th to sponsor Ankeny's Youth Triathlon for children ages 7 to 14. We would like to thank everyone who made the third annual Ankeny Youth Triathlon a huge success! This year’s Youth Triathlon featured 191 participants from 29 different Iowa communities and 4 states (Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota, Mississippi).

Each participate did an amazing job and worked very hard in training to be a part of the triathlon. Take a look and some of the pictures from the event on our home Photo Gallery.

We look forwarding to seeing all of the participates and parents again next year for the fourth annual Ankeny Youth Triathlon and working together to make it an even bigger success!

We are excited to team up with the Barnstormers to bring our viewers one last chance to see the team play in the regular season. The Barnstormers have had a great season and are heading to the playoffs next week, something I can only imagine is rare for a franchise that young. With only one game left in the regular season, your chances to see them play this season are running out.

Everyone should have the opportunity to support this new/returning team to Central Iowa; that is why we want to take the cost concern away by giving out tickets for free. If you win, you will need to come get the tickets at our studio in Ankeny by 5P tomorrow night.
