We broadcast our programming directly from network feed, and do not have a copy of the tape in house. Even if we did have a copy, we are not allowed to distribute copies because of copyright restrictions. Neither the CW nor other program distributors make the tapes available for sale. Your best bet to catch the CW show you missed would be to visit cwtv.com; new shows are frequently posted on the site a few days after airing on our station. If you have problems viewing these shows, please contact the network directly.
Decisions regarding CW4Kids! programs and The CW Television Network prime time schedules are not made by the staff or management at KCWI. Those decisions are made by our friends at The CW in Los Angeles. While KCWI has the rights to air these shows, we don't get to choose when (or if) they are shown.
Our main offices are open from 8 AM to 5 PM Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.
- The tower is 2000 feet tall. This is approximately 700 feet taller then the Sears Tower in Chicago, the tallest building in the United States.
- The tower holds 6 television stations broadcast antennas at the very top - KCWI/KDMI are two of them.
- There is an elevator in the middle of the tower that takes 20 minutes to get to the top.
- The guide lines holding the tower up have approximately 50,000 lbs. of tension on each one to keep the tower straight.
- The tower is built using 30 foot sections, each section's weight approximately 20,000 pounds.
KCWI can be found on channel 9 on most cable systems. Contact your cable operator if you can't find us. If your local cable operator does not carry KCWI, let them know you want to see us!
