Marketing Specialist? Now before you get all worked up and send me an email saying that you are the one for this job, understand that this is a
sales job, not a marketing job. I need a sales person that understands advertising...not a marketing director that might want to sell. Also know this, our office is in Ankeny, and yes you have to come into the office Monday-Friday 8a-5p. You will travel around the Des Moines area daily meeting with local businesses. Did I mention that at times you will be expected to entertain clients outside of business hours so you had better be able to conduct business in social situations as well? You will have to be able to use a computer to: compose emails, create presentations, research client's activity, buying habits and more. I am sure I missed something but you had better know your way around a computer. Did I mention that
you will receive a lot of freedom in this job and you must be able to motivate yourself? Don't get me wrong, you will have the full support of management and your fellow salespeople, but you must be able to pick yourself up when you get knocked down.
